The Broadway Market Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was established to serve as a community ambassador group for the ongoing redesign, restoration, and revitalization of Buffalo’s historic Broadway Market. The CAC provides a forum for inclusive dialogue, ensuring that residents, vendors, and neighborhood leaders play a meaningful role in shaping the future of one of Buffalo’s most cherished cultural and economic landmarks. Members of the CAC include local residents, representatives of faith-based organizations, block groups, and community or resident associations.
During this past summer (2025), Empire State Development, BMMI and the Design team met with members of the CAC, and held a robust and informative session inside the Market itself. There, the design team engaged directly with vendors, stakeholders, and neighborhood leaders. The on-site dialogue allowed participants to share firsthand insights about the Market’s daily operations, cultural significance, and community expectations for its future. The CAC will reconvene in early 2026.
